Conditions Treated

Chiropractic is the practice of finding and correcting misalignments in the spine and other joints to help the nervous system work properly and support overall health.

Subluxation - a segmental joint dysfunction, misalignment, fixation, or abnormal vertebrae spacing.

Extremity joints and Sports injuriesDr. Kintish is trained in manually manipulating the body's extremity joints and soft tissues. Just as various factors can mechanically affect the spine, they can also impact the joints of the extremities. Conservative treatments are often effective in relieving pain and improving function in the jaw, hands, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees, and feet.

Trigger point/Myofascial point - A myofascial trigger point is a sensitive spot in the muscle. Pressing and snapping it causes the muscle to contract, which is called a local twitch response. Applying steady pressure can trigger pain in other areas, following a predictable pattern.

Muscle Spasm - A sudden involuntary muscle contraction of individual fibers of a muscle that causes pain.

Sciatica and Radicular pain - Pain that radiates into the extremities when nerves are irritated or compressed at the spine.

Cervicogenic headache - A type of head pain that originates in the neck and is referred to as the head caused by joint dysfunction in the upper neck.

Mechanical back pain - Lower back pain that develops from facet dysfunction, degenerated discs, or myofascial pain patterns

Pregnancy Backache - Back pain related to physical changes to the body that occur to accommodate a growing baby which can put a strain on joints, muscles and ligaments of the lower back and pelvis.

Disc Disease - A chronic condition that affects the intervertebral discs and nerves in your spine causing back pain and other symptoms

Facet Joint Syndrome/Sclerotome pain - Pain that originates in irritated spinal facet joints and tissues which can feel achy, deep, and dull along mapped patterns in the body

Dermatome Pain - Pain that occurs along a specific pattern in your body that follows a single spinal nerve

Sacroiliac Dysfunction - Alteration in the biomechanics of the sacroiliac joint in the pelvis that can cause lower back, buttock, or hip pain
